Ayushmann Kurrana Enjoys Panjiri At Home, Thanks Chef Ranveer Brar For Recipe
Ayushmann Khurrana decided to enjoy a traditional Punjabi sweet dish, Panjeeri, apparently made with the help of Chef Ranveer Brar's recipe book.
Ayushmann Khurrana is an avid foodie. The actor, on Sunday, decided to enjoy a traditional Punjabi sweet dish, Panjeeri. It looks like the actor had homemade panjeeri made using a recipe by renowned chef Ranveer Brar. Ayushmann took to his Instagram Stories to share the delightful result of his culinary adventure. Posting a picture of Panjeeri along with Ranveer Brar's recipe book, A Journey Through India, Ayushmann proudly captioned the image, “Panjeeri and the recipes of [Ranveer Brar],” and added a heartfelt “Thanks paaji” with gesture emoji. The picture featured a container filled with the golden, crumbly sweet dish, alongside the cookbook.

For those unfamiliar, Panjeeri is a beloved North Indian dish made from whole wheat flour, ghee (clarified butter), sugar, and a mix of dry fruits and nuts such as cashews, almonds, and raisins. It is often made during festivals or as a nutritious snack. The dish is flavoured with cardamom, and sometimes saffron, which infuses it with a rich, aromatic taste.
Last month, the actor was spotted dining at Chef Vikas Khanna's iconic New York restaurant, Bungalow. The fine-dining hotspot has become a favourite among celebrities, and Ayushmann's visit only added to its growing fame. The restaurant has attracted numerous high-profile guests, including Aamir Khan, Sarah Jessica Parker and even billionaire Jeff Bezos. In a heartwarming post on Instagram, Vikas Khanna shared that he served Ayushmann the same meal he had previously prepared for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
